We had a grocery store at 8302 Vanderbilt...at Sloan....from 1966 to 1982

It was called G&R Grocery Store.

In Mexico many times they would add a saying to the store name to make it more catchy.

In our case it was "Mi Tienda" which means "my store" as in "that's my store".

But many people thought it was our last name as if it should have been "Mr. Tienda", and so people used to call us Tienda.

My parents are deceased, they were Maria and Andres "Andy" Casarez
