my father, Andrew Galencher (Gelencser), lived on Thadeus -- he was born in 1913 and lived there until 1934
my father was an altar boy at Holy Cross
his parents were Steve and Elizabeth who also had three daughters: Julia,Mary, and Elizabeth
my grandmother died in 1926
my grandfather remarried -- Magda Magyar who had a daughter Stella who married Joe Varady
Stella and Joe Varady lived in Delray until Joe passed -- then Stella moved to Lincoln Park
also, I had an uncle John Nagy married to Mary -- he sponsored his brother Joe, my grandfather, who brought his wife Anna and their four daughters: Susan, Elizabeth, Margaret, Jolan (Goldie) from Hungary in 1921 -- I think they lived on Melville until my grandfather moved his family to Bayside Street, off of Fort Street and Oakwood Blvd. in Detroit
