I have a copy of this newspaper from 1946, so I will try to scan the masthead for you. It is yellow and very fragile by now.

Normally I don't endorse or promote commercial endeavors here in this forum, but this is a great Hungarian bakery, and deserves your patronage. I have personally tried the Kalach and the Kifli, and can vouch for their quality.
Just like my nagymama used to make.

I ran accross this great Hungarian radio station. This is the kind of Gypsy music I remember growing up in Old Delray.

There was barber shop on west end near the tracks, my father would get his hair cut there on Saturday's when needed, as child remember that barber pole and the Barber his name was Andy, my father would always call hin Andy bachie wrong spelling it means someting in Hungarian.. But the barber Andy lived in Lincoln Park on Farnham street my Neni knew him forever, anyone remember the Barbershop or the barber..Thank you again.

Bache roughly means 'Uncle'. They did not have to always be a real relative. It was a name or title of respect. Same with 'Nani' which meant Lady. So if a lady's name was Mary, you might call her Mary Nani; or accually 'Mutti Nani'. If the man's name was Jim, you would address him as 'Imre Bachie'. That's how it was in my family. Hope this helps.
