In 1923, John Molnar Sr. founded the John Molnar Funeral Home on Dearborn Avenue in the Delray section of Detroit. In this very strong Hungarian neighborhood, the family business took root and began to grow.

This funeral home apparently used to be in Delray.  It is now located on Dix and Northline Road in Southgate, MI.  The website gives a brief history of its beginnings in Delray.

There is also the Solosy Funeral Home on Fort Street in Lincoln Park, another original Delray business.  All of my family (except my grandfather) have used them, and are now resting at Woodmere Cemetary.
