Does anyone remember Hungarian Festivals on Estral Beach early 60's, went there alot with my Father and Aunt . They had Hungarian Polka, food etc. someone said it started way back in the forties ..anyone remember.

I remember the picnics at Estral Beach very well. I was not  a fan of the violin music, so when that started my brother and I would go swimming in Lake Erie. This was in the early '60s. Unfortunately, that's about all I remember, besides all the food!

Hello Paulgy your right they had lots of violin music and dancers in ole-Hungarian Garb, and the food was great. We also got bored and walked to Lake Erie too, laugh..

Going to Estral Beach in Monroe for the Hungarian Picnic was a real treat. The first thing I remember was how much cleaner the water was than the river that went through Delray. The food was great also.

I was so small at the time. I could'nt say if the picnics  I remember were in Monroe, I know that We drove a ways. I remember weeping willows, orange pop and szalona. Best of all was the music. If the grown ups were'nt singing or dancing, They were crying.
